Rosé All Day

When something looks so good you decide to take it home with you. Rosé All Day!

2016 Rosato IGT Toscana

          Piazza Del Castello

          100% Sangiovese

Nestled in the picturesque hills of Tuscany is the medieval town of Radda where an 11th century castle still proudly stands. Just beneath the castle's tower is a quaint square called Piazza Del Castello. The grapes grown in the sun-drenched hillside vineyards complete this charming setting. It is here where a rich Italian wine, Piazza Del Castello is conceived. This elegant wine is meant to be shared with family and friends, and was created a complement an Italian style meal.

VINIFICATION: The must is left on the skins for about 4-6 hours at controlled temperature to give the wind the characteristic pale rosé color. After soft-pressing the must is left to ferment at a temperature between 12-14°C and steel vats. The wine is then stored at 17-18°C in special stainless-steel tanks until bottling.

REGION: IGT Toscana - provinces of Siena, Florence, Pisa, Pistoia

TASTING NOTES: The delicate light rosé color is as elegant as the wine. Expect notes of red berries and a slight hint of tropical fruits. Dry, plush and well-balanced on your palate with good acidity and a lingering finish.

SUGGESTIONS: This Sangiovese Rosato pairs best with light salads, light pasta and prosciutto & roasted red pepper flatbreads, especially with seafood raw or likely cooked shellfish and goat cheeses.

A perfect summer sipper.
