According to a Spokesman Review article new owner Patrick McPherson, said “This will be a laid-back ‘gastro pub’ with 30-plus beers on tap, a casual attitude and good, fresh local food,” he said. He plans a total of 110 seats, with 70 inside and 40 on the outside patio. Sounds cool.

David's Pizza and Fast Eddies collaborate to bring you Famous Ed's.  Mark Starr of David's Pizza informs us that Famous Ed's will be a Sports Bar, being 21 and up in the evening and (YES!) it will feature food from David's Pizza. Spirits/Beer/WINE  and off-premise sale wine; Kegs to go. Sign is up and progress is apparent when driving by. While under construction the sign read "open sooner or later" I guess it is now later as Famous Ed's is  NOW OPEN!

Savory

 * Savory (South) NOW OPEN.1314 S. GRAND BLVD. SPOKANE, WA, 99202 This is located in the former Blockbuster Video store and after a few delays it is open. Drive by and check out the remodel. Its looks pretty cool. Savory is serving contemporary American cuisine, relying as much as possible on foods grown locally. The interior boasts 4,350 square feet and is designed for about 165 seats. There is also 75 seats are planned for an outdoor patio on the building’s east side. The soft opening happened over Halloween '10 weekend. SAVORY IS NOW OPEN FOR LUNCH and DINNER. Hint: Reservations are recommended and parking is an issue.

They will open this first Inland Northwest restaurant . Known for its entertaining and interactive dining experience, Sushi Maru involves guests by selecting freshly prepared traditional and creative sushi from plates as they pass by on a conveyor system that travels through the restaurant. Sushi Maru's extensive menu features a wide array of sushi, and specialty sushi rolls as well as tataki, udon, cooked appetizers and desserts. NOW OPEN.

 4334 S REGAL ST, SPOKANE, WA. Will open in the former In the Lazy Bones Barbeque location. Yes, this restaurant is related to the White House in Post Falls. White House lovers will be happy to know that owner Raci Erdem plans on The West Wing to have a menu similar to his Post Falls restaurants, The White House and The Oval Office, featuring Mediterranean dishes and lots of garlic. I'm a little concerned about the limited parking and think it's going to possibly be too small of a space for this well loved restaurant.  I guess the exclusivity of snagging a table could prove be a good thing, marketing wise.
