Update to this post - CLOSED! duh. Looks like a new mexican restaurant is going in. Hopefully they'll give it a good scrubbing on a regular basis.
I give this place 1 out of 5 stars. I was a fan when this place first opened. Authentic Mexican food is lacking in Spokaloo, so I gave them plenty of business. My stand-by favorite was the Mexican-style chicken tacos with celantro and lime. I also enjoyed the chips & salsa. which can be a deal breaker at a Mexican restaurant. So why only one star? They haven't cleaned the place since it changed owners, many years ago. Seriously, the place needs a good scrubbing and I'm not getting over it. I tried just getting it to-go but I still worried about what I didn't see. It appears, I'm not the only one as business appears to have slowed to an occassional trickle of unknowing customers. If I were the original owner Katrina, I would have inssisted on a name change. But then again, maybe she didn't know the new owners wouldn't clean the place.
